Unidentified group outside McDonald Presbyterian Church. Church was built in 1884 by Bruce McDonald on Persimmon Knob in Boyle County. For many years the church was helped by missions from the northern Presbyterian Church, particularly Gertrude McCrevey, who spent from 1925 until 1947 working with the church and community in a project known as the McDowell Mission. Assistance was later provided by Danville Presbyterians and students from Centre College. The building no longer stands.
